In November of 1970, James Taylor and Carole King first performed together at the legendary Troubadour Club at a time when they were beginning to gain recognition in the music industry. Thirty six years later, in November 2007, after both Taylor and King had become folk rock superstars, they reunited before sold out audiences at the Troubadour, with their original band “The Section”, for a 3-night, 6-show run to celebrate the venue’s 50th anniversary. Those historic and unforgettable shows were documented in the remarkable recording “Live at the Troubadour”, a 75 minute, artistically rich, state-of-the-art HD video, produced by celebrated audio great, Peter Asher; and Emmy-winning video director, Martyn Atkins.
It will be a truly magical, uplifting and inspiring night under the stars, kicking back to the amazing single performances and harmonies of Taylor and King, performing classic favorites such as “Sweet Baby James”, “Fire & Rain”, “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, “It’s Too Late Baby”, “So Far Away”, and “You’ve Got A Friend”, to name a few. In the words of music critics: “Long time fans will love this. Younger people will love this music too.” “. . . this is music that connects you to old dreams and affirms every hope you ever had for your generation, your country and yourself.”
“Come on people now, smile on your brother [and sister Marcia] . . . everybody get together, come and love one another right now”.
Peace & Love,
Debbie, Michelle, Marilia and Sooz

On December 9, Marcia had a bicycle accident while biking to her dance class in Kaimuki as usual. When she came to her senses she was lying down on the sidewalk and her bike was leaning against the wall. Marcia still does not remember what happened, but being the tough Marcia that she is she called her good friend, who was on speed dial, to come and get her. When Sofia arrived and saw the state in which Marcia was in she called the ambulance right away. Marcia was taken to Queens Hospital Emergency. She was found with multiple fractures, to face, head, back, and hands and had to be hospitalized for an extent of time. After about 6 days she went through surgery to repair the facial fractures. Due to the nature of the surgery she will be on a liquid diet for 6 weeks. At the time of the accident Marcia was not covered by health insurance. You can just imagine the impact on her physical and financial life.

Today Marcia is at home recovering from her injuries, even though, her recovery has been outstanding, she will be unable to work for a couple of months.
Since the accident happened many friends came together to help Marcia while she was at the hospital. They gave their time and took shifts in order to help taking care of her. They changed their daily routine in order to ensure Marcia’s wellbeing! They are still helping in many ways. It is a flow of friends who come every day to assist her and we are very thankful to All of you: Angels!
Marcia, as most of you know, is an exceptional professional photographer specialized in weddings and portraits. She has several booked weddings, to photograph, but unfortunately some were cancelled.
